I have found a mentor and they told me that I should find a psychologist or psychiatrist to answer some of the questions I have. The main things I focused on today were coerced confessions and pleas. With coerced pleas,you will still be found guilty no matter what because of the options they give. Either you plea guilty or risk your innocence during a trial and hope you aren't found guilty. There are many cases out there like that and The Innocence Project is based on that. Many cases are guilty when they truly aren't.

I was looking at how many training the police have to complete. Many have the option to continue strengthening their skills by going to theses training sessions. The ones that have more training have more experience and know how to approach the suspect. They know what works and doesn't. Here's the thing, they can show them fake evidence which is kind of sketchy because it can make people feel pressured into admitting something they didn't do. They can present that but can't make any deals with them. I feel like there should be a better approach when doing that. They have the evidence, why fake it to make it seem they are the ones responsible? Another thing that I was wondering was why would they show them this. Is it because of lack of responsibility or simply because they are too lazy to do the work they chose to do?
