I was supposed to talk to my mentor today, I didn't happen. So I decided to do research on the brain. Basically, what I did was continue the research from last class period. Psychology plays a great role in interrogations. The article I read said that the brain can be manipulated easily when you know what to say. Since the brain can only remember certain parts of events, making someone recall what happened at a certain time and on a certain day, their memory will be blurry. This article states that people should be aware of the cons for interrogations. Torture was a major tool used for confessions but they stated how the brain changes when someone undergoes that for several hours. The brain is highly sensitive and needs tender care.

I was looking at how many training the police have to complete. Many have the option to continue strengthening their skills by going to theses training sessions. The ones that have more training have more experience and know how to approach the suspect. They know what works and doesn't. Here's the thing, they can show them fake evidence which is kind of sketchy because it can make people feel pressured into admitting something they didn't do. They can present that but can't make any deals with them. I feel like there should be a better approach when doing that. They have the evidence, why fake it to make it seem they are the ones responsible? Another thing that I was wondering was why would they show them this. Is it because of lack of responsibility or simply because they are too lazy to do the work they chose to do?
